Photo Guide

How to Choose the Best Photo for Your Custom Pet Portrait

To create a heartfelt and accurate wool sculpture, we rely entirely on the photo you provide. A great reference photo allows us to capture the little details that make your pet truly yours.

✅ What Makes a Good Photo:

  • Clear and high-resolution – We need to see the texture of the fur and facial features

  • Front-facing or 3/4 angle – Both eyes and ears should be visible

  • Natural lighting – Avoid heavy shadows or bright flash

  • Neutral background – Helps us focus on your pet’s face and proportions

  • Unique expression welcome – If your pet had a signature look, feel free to include it!

❌ What to Avoid:

  • Blurry or pixelated images

  • Photos with heavy filters or strong color edits

  • Extreme angles (e.g. top-down, nose close-ups)

  • Obstructed features (e.g. ears cropped, tongue out, face turned away)

  • Group photos where the pet is far away or out of focus

Not Sure Which to Choose?

No problem! You can upload 2–3 of your favorite photos, and we’ll help select the best one.

If your pet had a special pose, quirk, or marking you’d like us to include, please mention it in your order notes.
